Chief launches website for architects

Mounting solutions supplier Chief manufacturing has just made it much easier for architects to specify projector, monitor and flat panel TV mounting solutions.

Chief Manufacturing, the supplier of projector, monitor and flat panel TV mounting solutions, has announced that its 3-Part Specifications solution will be available soon on the Chief website and the Chief Design Center providing more relevant information specifically for architects, consultants and designers.

Chief’s 3-Part Specifications are based on Construction Specification Institute guidelines and assist in the design process. “Being easy to do business with is always top priority at Chief, and that’s why we focus on providing industry-leading web tools and educational material,” said Laurie Englert, chief director of marketing. “Adding 3-Part Specifications to the website will ease the specifying of Chief products by providing specs in a standard building format.”

Chief is committed to supporting project specifiers and architects. Aside from the 3-Part Specifications, Chief has added several more tools to help industry professionals

Building Information Modeling (BIM)
Chief will also be adding 3D BIM to the Design Center. BIM has been described as the future of CAD and many of the nation’s largest architecture, engineering and construction companies are using it. BIM makes reliable digital representations of buildings for design decision-making and construction planning; and helps to give architects, engineers and builders a clear overall vision of their project.

ARCAT Partnership
Chief has partnered with ARCAT, an architectural specification database, to display Chief products on the ARCAT website. ARCAT provides information on building materials for architects, engineers and contractors, including CAD details, specifications, and BIM families to assist professionals in making informed product selections.

AIA-Accredited Training
Chief recently launched its first AIA-accredited training course. In the course, users will learn how to select and specify the proper mount as well as why it is important to think about mounts early in the design process to come up with the most ergonomic, aesthetic solution.
