Chief introduces in-wall mount for smaller displays

Single-box mount system aims to eliminate stud cutting and simplify service access for more diminutive in-wall commercial solutions

Chief, a brand of Legrand | AV, has launched the Tempo Flat Panel In-Wall Single-Box Mount System, a UL 2442 listed solution designed for commercial and higher education environments, supporting small to medium displays in landscape or portrait orientation. The system is engineered to fit within standard 16-inch on-centre stud framing without modification, eliminating the need for stud cutting during installation.

The mount supports a two-stage installation workflow, with the enclosure installed during the rough-in phase before drywall, and the display and finishing work completed in a separate commissioning stage. Post-install adjustments including levelling, plumb and lateral shift can be corrected after installation, reducing rework where structural conditions deviate from construction drawings.

A 10.65in service extension allows the display to be pulled forward on the mount, providing access to components and cabling without full removal from the wall, alongside Lever Lock storage panels and knockouts on all sides for cable routing.

Dorian Haro, senior product manager at Chief, said: “The Tempo In-Wall Single-Box Mount System was built on direct feedback from integrators who needed a cleaner, faster path to in-wall installations without the compromises that have always come with the category. No stud cutting. A two-stage workflow that fits construction timelines. Real service access behind the display. These are not incremental refinements. They are the fundamentals integrators told us were missing.”
