As of today (Monday, May 11) French loudspeaker manufacturer NEXO will begin restarting its manufacturing operations in Plailly and Saint-Pierre-de-Côle.
In accordance with guidelines sentry by the French authorities, the return to normal service will involve adjusted working hours to meet health and safety protocols. The company noted that many of its key suppliers have now resumed activity.
Jean Mullor, NEXO CEO, commented: “Our first goal remains the health of our employees, guaranteeing them a safe working environment and working practices that align with government guidelines and common-sense good behavior rules.”

NEXO R&D, sales, engineering support, and administration teams will continue normal operations in the ‘unlockdown period’, principally working from home. The company also states that despite the challenges the industry has faced in light of the coronavirus pandemic it has still managed to recruit new staff in key positions of its sales and R&D departments.
“We are keeping our operations running as smoothly as possible during the current situation,” added Mullor. “Our teams are reaching out to partners across the world to provide support during these tough times, and we are looking to find ways for NEXO to make a difference during this crisis. Unfortunately, it will be some time before customers will be allowed to visit NEXO sites but our engineering support and sales teams have done a great job staying connected with our network through a programme of Audioversity webinars.”
