Major Turkish order will make Vestel largest interactive panel maker

Vestel says that a major educational order from the Turkish government will make it the world’s largest designer manufacturer of interactive flat panel displays.

The Vestel 65in interactive display panel has been exclusively selected to spearhead the Fatih Project, an ongoing nationwide initiative that will ultimately ensure the provision of close to 500,000 Vestel interactive display panels to 40,000 Turkish schools. Fatih (the ‘Movement to Increase Opportunities and Technology’ project), was first launched two years ago by the Turkish Ministry of Education and has, with the design and supply of Vestel interactive flat panel displays, grown to create the largest education network to date. Scheduled for completion in early 2016, it has been remarked upon by commentators as being responsible for a significant surge in the market large-format displays.

Now produced in 84in as well as 65in screen sizes, the Vestel interactive flat panel display comes with full HD resolution and is said to offer exceptionally high brightness levels and excellent contrast. It also displays all on-screen colours with clarity, and offers full visibility in sunny or well-lit conditions. It provides one of the widest viewing angles available, and sports anti-glare tempered glass. It can be wall-mounted, or integrated with a motorised height-adjustable stand.

Content can be displayed from any connected PC or laptop, and the touchscreen enables users to display their own teaching videos and audio files.

The Vestel interactive flat panel is also suited to office applications, as it provides an interactive medium on which team exercises and collaborative projects can be managed. Presentations can be updated and worked upon during the meeting, and the display is compatible with software that permits participants to share their feedback on the screen.

The display offers either 4-point or 6-point touch control, and can be used with simple touch gestures as well as with a stylus pen. The LED panel has a lifespan of 35,000 hours.

For applications that require an all-inclusive interactive display solution, the Vestel model can offer built-in PC functionality. The PC module provides either an Ethernet or wireless connection option.
