Prowise has been awarded a tender by the Bundeswehr, Germany’s armed forces, for the supply of interactive touchscreens. The contract marks the largest single order in the company’s history.
The Bundeswehr is one of Germany’s largest public organisations and applies exceptionally high standards for technology, information security, reliability and compliance in its procurement processes, meaning the tender is regarded as one of Europe’s most demanding procurements for interactive touchscreens.
Michael Ahrens, CEO of Prowise, said: “This contract is a tremendous recognition of everything Prowise stands for. Winning this tender demonstrates that our solutions meet the highest standards for quality, security, privacy and reliability.”
All Prowise software is developed in Europe according to the Privacy by Design principle. The company holds BSI IT-Grundschutz certification for its software solutions, issued by Germany’s Federal Office for Information Security (BSI), which it says makes it the only interactive touchscreen manufacturer to hold the certification.
Ahrens said winning the contract was the result of collaboration across nearly every department within the company. “You don’t win a tender of this scale with a great product alone,” he added. “From Product Development and Software Engineering to Tender Management, Operations, Sales, Marketing and Management, every team has contributed to this success.”
