Sharp releases laser LCD projector for education

XP-E501U model offers 5,000 lumens brightness, dual HDMI inputs and ECO Mode technology for small to medium-sized classrooms

The Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America has launched the XP-E501U E Series LCD laser projector, which is designed for small to medium-sized rooms in education settings. The company says the projector provides an alternative to lamp-based projectors.

Sharp E Series Laser LCD Projector

The E Series LCD laser projector offers 5,000 lumens brightness, which is designed to maintain image quality in both low-light and high-brightness environments. The projector includes a 16-watt speaker and dual HDMI inputs for multiple sources.

The E Series works with NaViSet Administrator 2 software, which enables users to control, monitor and manage projector settings. The projector features ECO Mode technology, which automatically turns off when not in use and powers on when a signal is detected from an input.

Ryan Pitterle, senior product manager, Sharp Display Solutions, said: “The E Series projector provides end users – especially in education settings – with an upgraded solution for both the operator and viewer. This projector was designed to be straightforward to use, which saves teachers time in the classroom so that they can focus on their lessons and presentations, and less on whether the technology is working properly.”

The projectors come with a five-year or 20,000-hour parts and labour limited warranty, whichever comes first.

Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America is a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation, the US subsidiary of Sharp Corporation.
