Sharp projector lights up open-air Louvre film festival

Sharp NC-3543 RB laser cinema projector is delivering 4K projection across four nights of outdoor screenings at Festival Cinéma Paradiso in the French museum’s Cour Carrée in Paris, from July 1-4

Sharp Display Solutions Europe is supplying its NC-3543 RB laser cinema projector for the sixth edition of Festival Cinéma Paradiso, held in the Cour Carrée of the Louvre Museum in Paris from July 1-4, 2026. The open-air festival, co-produced by mk2 and the Musée du Louvre as part of the broader Les Étés du Louvre summer series, is expected to attract more than 10,000 guests across four nights of screenings, live music and gourmet food.

The NC-3543 RB laser projector delivers native 4K resolution and is intended to provide vivid colour reproduction and contrast for outdoor projection in the historic courtyard setting.

Elisha Karmitz, CEO of mk2, said: “Cinéma Paradiso Louvre’s mission is to inspire wonder through the power of cinema, and to reimagine the magic of cinema in a historic setting – bringing people together for shared moments of awe and emotion. Our collaboration with top-tier technology partners like Sharp is essential to achieving that vision.”

Jens Kayser, head of cinema EMEA at Sharp Display Solutions Europe, added: “The unique location and atmosphere demand the highest image quality, and our RB laser projection technology is perfectly suited to deliver an outstanding visual experience for all attendees.”
