PPDS unveils accessible dvLED series

Philips Unite LED 3000 Series brings four pixel pitch options and common cathode technology to a lower price point, with global pre-orders now open ahead of shipments this month

PPDS has launched the Philips Unite LED 3000 Series, a new range of dvLED panels aimed at making direct-view LED technology available to a wider range of budgets. The series is PPDS’ most accessible 16:9 dvLED range to date, following the earlier Philips Signage 2000 Series in the company’s line of lower-cost professional displays.

The range comes in four pixel pitch options – 0.9, 1.2, 1.5 and 1.8 – allowing customers to select a panel suited to their viewing distance and application. The 0.9, 1.2 and 1.5pp models offer 600 nits brightness and 3840Hz refresh rates, while the 1.8pp model increases this to 1000 nits and 7680Hz. Target markets include retail, corporate, transportation, education, hospitality, events and public venues.

The series uses common cathode technology, also found in PPDS’ Unite LED 5000 and 6000 panels, alongside a 96 per cent colour gamut. The panels include adaptive brightness that adjusts to ambient light conditions, such as in retail windows or transportation hubs. The front of each panel carries an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, with IP31 to the rear. Modules can be accessed via a supplied T-hex tool for servicing of the power supply, hub board and wiring.

Jeroen Brants, global product director for LED displays at PPDS, said: “At PPDS, we believe premium visual experiences should be accessible to all. Historically, customers looking to deploy LED solutions at a lower price point have often faced compromises, whether in performance, reliability or ongoing support.”

Brants added: “The Philips Unite LED 3000 Series has been designed from the ground up to deliver exceptional performance, flexibility, and value. With its 16:9 format and versatile installation options, it is ideally suited for a wide range of indoor environments.”

The Philips Unite LED 3000 Series is available for pre-order globally now, with shipments beginning this month.
