Extron has announced the immediate availability of the DSC 12G‑HD A and DSC HD‑12G A, two 4K/60 scalers engineered to streamline SDI and HDMI workflows across professional AV, broadcast and production environments. Both scalers use Extron’s Vector 4K scaling technology to support SDI-to-HDMI or HDMI-to-SDI conversion, with the DSC 12G‑HD A converting 12G-SDI, 6G-SDI, 3G-SDI and HD-SDI signals into HDMI output, and the DSC HD‑12G A converting HDMI signals into 12G-SDI, 6G-SDI, 3G-SDI and HD-SDI formats.
Both units feature audio embedding and de-embedding, seamless transitions for upstream switching, aspect-ratio control and the ability to display logo images. They include front-panel controls, on-screen menus, Ethernet and USB configuration, EDID management tools, internal test patterns and a compact 1in half-rack enclosure.
