ADI has announced the global availability of Control4 X4 and optional Control4 Connect, a platform update that introduces a redesigned user interface and new service architecture for Control4 systems.

The technology is designed to provide a more modern control experience, with features including Routines and Widgets aimed at giving users greater control over everyday adjustments without requiring additional service intervention. Control4 Connect is designed to provide a secure service layer that supports updates, remote access, system insights and compatibility with connected devices and services.

Eric Fritz, sr. director product management at ADI, said: “For the EMEA market, this announcement represents a significant step forward for both our partners and their customers. Across the region, we’re seeing rising expectations around design, usability and long-term system value, and Control4 X4 and Control4 Connect directly address those demands.”

Control4 X4 features a refreshed interface with updated navigation, a redesigned home screen and a visual layout intended to make frequently used controls easier to access across residential and commercial environments.

The optional Control4 Connect service framework is designed to support ongoing system maintenance through security updates and feature enhancements. It also enables capabilities including remote access, Intercom Anywhere and voice control integration with Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant.

A premium tier of Control4 Connect adds further personalisation options, including expanded Apple ecosystem integration with Apple Music, AirPlay 2 and HomeKit, alongside additional feature updates delivered to the system.

Fritz added: “X4 modernises the user interface in a way customers immediately appreciate, while Connect ensures every system stays secure, current and ready for what comes next. Together they deliver a powerful combination of elevated experience and long-term value for partners and end users alike.”
