ADI has introduced the new Control4 T5 In-Wall Touchscreen, a redesigned interface engineered to simplify installation while delivering what the company says is an enhanced control experience for end users.
The T5 replaces the previous T4 generation and is designed to serve as a central interaction point within the Control4 ecosystem. It mounts flush to the wall with a minimal bezel for increased screen area, while magnetic trim rings – including options matching Control4 Lux Lighting colours and a paintable trim – allow integrators to align the interface with lighting keypads and room finishes.
A proximity sensor wakes the display as users approach, presenting a screensaver with quick access to active media sessions and commonly used controls. Quad microphones with beamforming and noise cancellation are designed to support intercom communication and voice capture, while a configurable dark mode caters for light-sensitive spaces such as home theatres.
ADI says installation is simplified through a one-piece Power over Ethernet design that removes pogo pin connections, with a redesigned mounting bracket enabling precise wall levelling. An optional AC accessory remains available where required.
Eric Fritz, senior director of product management at ADI, said: “With a slimmer profile, faster performance and simplified PoE installation, it helps integrators work more efficiently while delivering a more responsive and intuitive experience for homeowners.”
The T5’s processing power is designed to support Control4 X4 and upcoming feature updates, allowing the touchscreen to evolve within the ecosystem without requiring hardware replacement. Fritz added: “With increased processing power and support for upcoming Control4 features, it’s designed to remain compatible with the Control4 system over time while making deployment easier for integrators and control simpler for end users.”
