Videowall system manufacturer and LPD technology inventor Prysm has appointed Roel Peeters as director of sales for central and eastern Europe. He joins the company from XL Video.
According to Prysm, Europe, with economic leaders ranging from automotive to luxury retail, represents a strategic opportunity for its videowall and display solutions. The company’s strategy is to work with high-end partners who are experts in the audiovisual and videoconferencing space to develop world-class solutions tailored for their customers’ needs.
With a mission to drive sales growth and partner network expansion in his region, Peeters joins the European team led by vice president of Europe Glenn Wastyn, and which also includes Rod Wheeler, regional director of sales for UK and Nordics.
“Roel brings nearly a decade of sales and partner development experience in the professional AV market,” said Wastyn. “This reinforces our continued investment in our European foundation for growth. As a key member of our new European commercial team, he will play a critical role in developing and supporting our partners to deliver Prysm’s collaboration solutions.”
Prior to joining Prysm, Peeters was European sales manager for XL Video, a provider of high-end video solutions, and from 2005 to 2011 he was area sales manager for Barco overseeing eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
“With Germany’s strong cultural focus on business process alignment and control, collaboration solutions are a natural fit,” said Wastyn. “In addition, economic development in eastern Europe represents an opportunity for collaboration technology to facilitate international co-operation between the region and established brands’ headquarters in the west. Roel’s skills and experience make him ideally suited to bringing Prysm’s groundbreaking collaboration solutions to these markets.”
