Powersoft appoints Americas regional sales manager

Mexico City-based Hernán Domínguez will lead distribution strategy in Latin America and Canada, with software and cloud tools central to the pitch to consultants

Powersoft has appointed Hernán Domínguez as Americas distribution sales regional manager, to lead its sales and distribution strategy in Latin America (LATAM) and Canada. Based in Mexico City, he reports to Fabrizio Bolzoni, distribution sales manager.

Domínguez will manage the company’s network of distributors, dealers and system integrators, as well as key accounts with major integrators, consultants, rental companies and specifiers. He will work with Powersoft’s applications engineering, product management, marketing and technical support teams, and will introduce common sales methodologies and KPIs across the region’s local sales representatives.

A significant part of the role is market development beyond the existing customer base, into new applications and verticals, through training, product demonstrations, technical events and customer visits. Domínguez previously spent almost a decade at Sennheiser, working in business and sales development in South America, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, with a focus on the corporate, higher education and government sectors. He sees an opportunity for Powersoft to move from premium amplification specialist to wider audio technology and solutions partner, and to be specified earlier in the design process.

Hernán Domínguez, Americas distribution sales regional manager at Powersoft, said: “Powersoft’s strongest assets are the combination of technology, brand credibility, product breadth, the software ecosystem and the potential within the channel, all supported by an ability to solve increasingly complex audio applications. ArmoníaPlus, system monitoring, networking and cloud-based management mean we can offer consultants and integrators considerably more than amplification alone, and that is the conversation I want to be having at the design stage.”

Bolzoni added: “Latin America and Canada represent significant opportunity for Powersoft and getting the full value of our technology into those markets means being present where the decisions are being made. Hernán will help us build that local presence, bringing an established network and a clear, structured approach to developing distribution.”
