Daktronics has appointed Amar G Subash as vice president of international sales, effective October 21. Based in London, Subash will lead the US display manufacturer’s international sales strategy and pursue market expansion and partnership opportunities.
Subash brings more than 20 years of global business experience to the role. He most recently served as vice president and general manager for EMEA and India at HARMAN Professional Solutions, having previously held a similar position covering Asia-Pacific and India.
Ramesh Jayaraman, president and CEO of Daktronics, said: “Amar brings proven leadership in key global markets. His track record of accelerating profitable growth, knowledge and relationships in the AV industry, building strong teams and strengthening customer engagement will enable us to continue to deliver and expand the Daktronics value proposition to customers around the world.”
Subash succeeds Judd Guthmiller, who has served as vice president of international sales for several years and is leaving the company. Jayaraman said Guthmiller had helped build the international sales team, scale the business and expand Daktronics’ presence at major sites worldwide. Guthmiller will support the transition to Subash to maintain continuity for customers, partners and employees.
Subash said: “I’m excited to join Daktronics and lead its international sales organisation. I look forward to working with our teams and partners worldwide to strengthen customer relationships, enter new markets and create new opportunities for sustained profitable growth.”
Subash previously held senior management and finance roles at Tyco Fire & Security and Lucent Technologies India. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Nagpur University, is a member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of India, and completed an executive management programme at the University of California, Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.
