C.V. Lloyde Audiovisual (CVLAV) has promoted Russel Goodwin to vice president of engineering and operations.
Goodwin joined the Champaign, Illinois-based integrator in 2022 and most recently served as director of engineering, having helped guide the design and deployment of audiovisual systems for sports and entertainment facilities across North America. In his new role, he will oversee engineering and operations.
Stephen Morris, chief executive of CVLAV, said: “Russel has been instrumental in our growth and success over the past several years. His combination of technical expertise and dedication to our clients makes him uniquely qualified for this role. This promotion recognises the tremendous value he brings to our organisation and reflects our confidence in his ability to help lead the next phase of our growth.”
Goodwin originally joined CVLAV as director of AV operations before moving into the director of engineering role. He previously held positions at Henderson Engineers, where he was director of AV systems design, and at CollectiveTech, a division of Henderson Engineers, where he worked as a senior AV consultant. Earlier in his career, he was an associate at Acoustical Design Group between 2009 and 2012, and technical services manager at AVI Systems from 2004 to 2009. Goodwin holds AVIXA’s Certified Technology Specialist-Design (CTS-D) credential and is a Certified Quality Technician (CQT) through the Association for Quality in Audio Visual Technology.
Goodwin added: “I am very pleased to take on this expanded role at CVLAV. The clarity of mission, strong focus on sports environments, and quality of the team here is encouraging and energising. Working closely with Stephen Morris and our leadership team, I am confident we will continue to strengthen the service offering to our incredible clients and also expand the possibilities of AV in the sports experience, both live and streamed and broadcast.”
