Visionary appoints VP of marketing

Phillip Cordell, who spent more than 13 years in AV integration before founding a production company, will lead marketing strategy and expand training resources for AVoIP manufacturer’s growing product portfolio

Visionary Solutions has appointed Phillip Cordell as vice president of marketing, a newly created role established to support the company’s growth and expand its investment in digital content, customer education and brand development.

Cordell spent more than 13 years in AV integration, advancing from field technician to vice president of technical operations at M3 Technology Group, where he led engineering, installation and technical support teams. Following the sale of his stake in the company in 2020, he founded HiPhi Productions, producing films, television and digital content that has generated more than 50m social media views.

As vice president of marketing, Cordell will lead Visionary’s marketing strategy, brand development and digital content initiatives, while expanding the company’s educational resources for partners, integrators and end users. His production background will support the development of online training programmes, technical education, product demonstrations and multimedia content intended to support adoption of Visionary’s portfolio, including the recently introduced nexAV We-Cosystem.

Scott Freshman, chief operating officer at Visionary, said: “Visionary has experienced tremendous growth over the past several years, and we’re invested in providing resources, both technical and educational, to support the growing adoption of our solutions. As our product portfolio continues to expand, including the introduction of the nexAV We-Cosystem, we want to ensure our partners and customers have the resources to understand what’s possible.”

Phillip Cordell added: “The past several years have given me the opportunity to tell stories through film, television and digital media, but I’ve always enjoyed helping people better understand technology. As AV continues evolving toward software-defined, network-based solutions, education becomes increasingly important.”
