VITEC, a global video streaming solutions provider, and LG Electronics have announced a partnership to deliver IPTV and digital signage over private 5G networks, with a live demonstration planned for InfoComm 2026 in Las Vegas this month.

The integrated solution is designed to enable large-scale venues – including sports arenas, airports, conference centres, hotels and casinos – to deploy IPTV and digital signage without wired connections, allowing organisations to add screens without network drops, support portable or temporary installations, and extend systems to new indoor and outdoor areas without costly cabling.
Private 5G networks are purpose-built, on-site cellular networks operating on licensed spectrum, offering greater control over performance, security and reliability than Wi-Fi, which operates on shared, unlicensed spectrum. The technology also offers improved range and penetration through walls and structures, making it suited to environments that combine indoor and outdoor spaces.
Eli Garten, senior vice president of global IPTV and partner solutions at VITEC, said: “This combined solution gives large-scale venues flexibility to deploy IPTV and digital signage without the constraints of wired infrastructure. With video applications, performance has traditionally been a limiting factor over wireless networks, but with this new integrated solution we can now confidently deliver the same low latency streaming and reliability our customers expect.”
Joon Sung Lee, private 5G head in the LG Electronics CTO’s office, added: “Together with VITEC, we are demonstrating how video can be delivered reliably over next-generation wireless networks.”
The solution is based on the integration of two existing commercially available technologies and has undergone extensive testing. InfoComm 2026 runs June 17-19 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
