LG Electronics USA has held the third annual TechTober Fest at its Chicago Business Innovation Center (BIC) showroom in Lincolnshire, Illinois. The event on October 1 brought customers, integrators and technology partners together for commercial display demonstrations, technical training and partner discussions on how connected technologies can address needs across different business environments.
Damaris Toma, head of B2B experiential marketing at LG Electronics USA, said: “At TechTober Fest, we bring LG’s commercial portfolio and partner technologies into one place so customers and integrators can experience how they work together in real-world settings. It’s a day built around demonstrations, hands-on training and collaboration, with the showroom serving as a hands-on environment for exploring connected commercial solutions.”
Attendees toured the showroom, which featured LG and partner demonstrations of video and meeting room solutions and digital signage software. Applications were shown across education, hospitality, transportation hubs, retail, healthcare, corporate workplaces and quick-service restaurants, and visitors could ask questions and discuss the demands of their own projects.
Partner sessions looked at how third-party products work with LG displays. Peerless-AV and NovaStar covered mounting and installation through to control and long-term maintenance, while OneRevel discussed reducing fragmentation across displays, content and control systems. Userful showed how unified video, data and communications can support situational awareness, and Q-SYS presented integrated room solutions for workplace collaboration, designed for consistency and scalability.
LG also introduced a new CTS-certified training course for its MAGNIT Gen 2 LED platform family, covering the LMPA/LMPB, LMPD and LSAP series. The course looks at design features, system architecture and controller workflows, and will be available online through LG’s Training Academy learning management system.
LG plans to publish further virtual content on the TechTober Fest landing page for those who could not attend. The company also operates BICs in Los Angeles, Englewood Cliffs in New Jersey, Atlanta and Washington, D.C., and will hold an open house at the New Jersey showroom next month.
