VITEC has supplied an integrated IPTV and digital signage platform at Rixos Obhur Jeddah Resort in Saudi Arabia, combining in-room entertainment with centrally managed displays in public areas. The system integrates with the hotel’s property management system (PMS) to support personalised guest services and multilingual content.
The five-star resort, part of the Accor Group, is located on Obhur Bay and offers 250 rooms, suites and villas. The technology deployment covers in-room entertainment and communications, alongside digital signage in communal areas including the lobby, spa, fitness centre, restaurants and lounges.
The IPTV platform supports live television, video-on-demand and promotional content, with the PMS integration enabling guest-specific services. Following check-in, the system can display a welcome message in the guest’s preferred language, while guests can use their television to access services such as room service, spa bookings and concierge requests.
VITEC’s platform also provides centralised management of content across the property. Large-format displays in public areas show information, event schedules and branded content, while the system’s modular architecture is designed to allow the deployment to expand or adapt as requirements change. Multilingual support caters to the resort’s international clientele.

According to VITEC, the resort has reported increased guest satisfaction scores and a reduction in manual service calls since the system went live.
