VITEC will present its latest IP video and distribution technologies at IBC 2026, running September 11-14 at the RAI Amsterdam, including the new Diamond-IP OG, a high-density IP encoder designed to help broadcasters carry more channels over IP without expanding rack space or network capacity.
The card uses the openGear format, a modular rack-mounted system widely used in broadcast facilities, meaning it can be added directly into broadcasters’ existing equipment racks rather than requiring separate standalone hardware. It combines high-density HEVC (H.265) encoding with native SMPTE ST 2110 capture, and its advanced compression is designed to cut bandwidth requirements by up to 50 per cent, allowing more video to move over the same network while maintaining low latency and image quality.
Nicolas Pons, VP of sales and customer success at VITEC, said: “When we talk to broadcasters about moving to IP, the conversation usually comes back to practical aspects, like rack space and how much of their existing setup they can keep. Diamond-IP OG came out of those conversations, and we’re excited to demonstrate its capabilities at IBC. It lets engineering teams add channels and bring in SMPTE ST 2110 workflows using the racks and networks already in place, so they can update their technology at a pace that suits them.”
Alongside the new encoder, VITEC will also show the latest release of its EZ TV IPTV and digital signage platform, which the company says demonstrates broadcast content distribution at scale over standard IP networks with low glass-to-glass latency. Recent enhancements introduce improved synchronisation capabilities for IPTV endpoints, aimed at more reliable and consistent content delivery across distributed environments, alongside a redesigned Dynamic Signage Module and new Sign Creator interface.
The stand will also feature VITEC’s X-Player XP25 end-point, X-View Integrated Displays and updates to its WallControl 10 video wall management software.
