Unilumin and Absen LEDs feature in smart bathroom showroom

A transparent screen on shower glass, a curved bath display, mirror screens and an Optoma projector are synchronised by nsign’s CMS and Loxone automation at Noken’s showroom in Vila-real, Castellón, Spain

A transparent Unilumin LED display on shower glass, a curved Absen LED display at the bath, mirror-glass screens and a 5,000-lumen Optoma projector make up the AV layer of the FLO·W Experience at the showroom of Noken, the bathroom brand of Porcelanosa Grupo, at the group’s headquarters in Vila-real, Castellón, Spain. The displays are managed by the nsign CMS and media players, with Loxone automation controlling the physical side of the space. The experience is intended to show a connected bathroom of the future.

The shower has a transparent, self-adhesive Unilumin LED display applied directly to the glass. The host can choose Eco/Waterforest, Relax or Activation modes, and the choice changes both the content on the display and the behaviour of the shower. Sensors on the display also take part in the interaction.

At the bath, an Absen LED display of about 2.5m by 2m is installed with a slight curve. A Loxone Touch Pure Flex Tree control built into the bath lets the host choose Cinema, Music or Relax, and each mode triggers coordinated content, lighting and ambience. A 5,000-lumen Optoma Full HD projector adds atmospheric projection.

In the washbasin area, three 32in displays sit behind two-way mirror glass and show calendar, music, weather, sleep score, heart rate, Body Battery and water consumption data, simulating a morning routine. Two large-format LED displays on either side work as digital windows, showing outdoor content such as sunrise sequences. In the dressing area, a 43in LCD shows AI-generated outfit suggestions for the host.

Loxone handles access, lighting, water and other technical systems, while integrator nsign Managed Solutions supplied and installed the hardware and runs its CMS and media players across the displays. According to the release, the players drive ten display endpoints. Each host carries a personalised NFC card that starts a sequence in their language, and later stages are activated through NFC touchpoints, sensors and physical controls, so a physical action can trigger a change in content, lighting or sound.

David Monzón of Noken said: “One of the project’s greatest achievements has been keeping all that technological complexity hidden behind an intuitive and emotional experience. Visitors do not perceive FLO·W as a product exhibition, but as a real demonstration of how design, technology and wellbeing can come together to imagine the bathroom of the future.”

Sergio Soriano, sales director AV at nsign Managed Solutions, added: “Behind the experience are specialist displays, media players, sensors, NFC, automation, programming, lighting, sound, HTML interfaces and building control. Yet the interaction remains simple for the user: a zone is activated, the space responds and the story moves forward.”
