Grande Centre Point Lumphini, a luxury hotel in Bangkok, has completed a full AV, lighting, and control integration across its function spaces, meeting facilities, and public areas using a Harman Professional system featuring JBL Professional loudspeakers, Crown amplifiers, BSS processing, Martin lighting, and AMX control. The design and installation was carried out by Mahajak Development in its fourth project at the property.
The system is designed to support events ranging from corporate conferences and seminars to large-scale banquets and live performances across nine event venues on two floors.
Primary front-of-house reinforcement is provided by 24 JBL SRX910 line arrays and 12 SRX928S subwoofers, supplemented by 24 JBL BRX308-LA line arrays and 8 BRX325SPS subwoofers for flexible configuration across different room layouts. Meeting rooms use JBL Control Series ceiling loudspeakers – including the Control 16C/T, Control 18C/T, and Control 47LP – paired with Control 19CS ceiling subwoofers. Distributed audio across lobbies, pre-function zones, fitness areas, and public corridors is handled by more than 95 JBL Control Series speakers and 16 JBL GSF6 ground-stake landscape loudspeakers.
Signal management throughout the property is handled by BSS BLU-806DA and BLU-100 processors, with Crown CDi 4|300 amplifiers providing amplification across all zones. For smaller activations and pop-up presentations, two JBL PRX ONE powered column PA systems are available.
Control is centralised via four AMX NX-2200 processors, eight AMX Varia-SL80 wall-mounted touch panels, and four AMX TCP-IPAD control licences, enabling non-technical hotel staff to manage room presets and event turnovers without specialist support. Lighting comprises eight Martin MAC Aura PXL fixtures and four Martin ERA 150 Wash units.
Nick Screen, sales lead for Harman APAC, said: “The Harman Professional solution ensures every guest – from those attending a conference to those relaxing in a lounge – hears clear, consistent sound across the hotel.”
The system incorporates an AVoIP backbone with Dante networking, with the hotel saying the infrastructure is designed to accommodate future expansions and additional event spaces.
