A complete HARMAN Professional ecosystem, spanning FLUX::, JBL, Crown, BSS, Soundcraft, AKG and AMX, has been installed at the 1920 Battle of Warsaw Museum in Ossów, Poland, as part of a large-scale immersive AV deployment. Located within the newly constructed Polish Army Museum pavilion, the system was deployed by integrator ESS Audio to support interactive exhibitions, multimedia storytelling and live cultural programming.
FLUX:: SPAT Revolution, a spatial audio platform, sits at the core of the installation, allowing the project team to develop and refine spatial sound environments before arriving on site.
Mateusz Nawrocki of ESS Audio said the team collaborated closely with the composer to build and review spatial mixes in advance using binaural previews, saving time during installation. The system enables designers to position and move sound objects dynamically throughout the exhibition, recreating battlefield elements such as aircraft, cavalry charges and explosions, and helped address architectural challenges where loudspeakers are predominantly ceiling-mounted, allowing audio to move convincingly across the visitor space rather than appearing to come from overhead.
JBL CBT 1000 column loudspeakers, JBL CBT 70J + 70JE-1 column speakers, JBL AC16 compact loudspeakers and JBL Control SB2210 subwoofers feature in the museum entrance hall, arranged in two half-ring configurations across themed rooms. In the main exhibition hall, the system incorporates JBL Control HST loudspeakers, JBL CBT 70J-1 column speakers and JBL Control SB2210 subwoofers, supplemented by JBL Control 25-1, Control 60PS/T and Control 67P/T models for localised reinforcement at specific exhibits.
Crown DSi amplifiers provide amplification across all zones, with system routing, tuning and distribution managed through BSS BLU-101 and BLU-160 processors using Dante integration. A multi-functional performance space is equipped with a JBL SRX900 Series system, including JBL SRX906 line arrays and JBL SRX915 subwoofers, alongside JBL 9300 Cinema Surround Series loudspeakers, Soundcraft Si Series mixing consoles and AKG microphones for lectures, presentations and cultural events.
AMX solutions, including NMX encoders and decoders, VARIA touch panels and TPControl integration, manage system control and distribution across both exhibition and performance spaces, enabling centralised management of presets and routing.
Mateusz Nawrocki of ESS Audio said: “In our exhibition, visitors can feel as if they are standing in the middle of a battlefield. This creates a much stronger emotional connection and helps them imagine the fear, tension, uncertainty, and determination that people experienced.”
