SAVI iQ’s AV and lighting control technology has been deployed at the new Puttshack 19,000sqft entertainment space in Minneapolis, centralising the management of audio, video, digital signage, and lighting. The system, built around SAVI’s Canvas platform and QoraLux low-voltage lighting solution, is designed to streamline installation, lower energy consumption, and provide operators with a single interface to manage complex AV workflows.
The venue uses SAVI Canvas to manage LG webOS displays, from 32in touchscreens to 75in digital signage, without external media players. The system synchronises video, lighting and audio in real time, giving staff an app-like interface for coordinated control across the entire venue.
The deployment uses SAVI’s QoraLux low-voltage lighting system, which carries power and control over standard Cat cable. The company says the system reduces installation complexity, supports precise micro-zone lighting, and lowers long-term operating costs compared with conventional high-voltage schemes. The Minneapolis venue includes 101 lighting zones and 588 loads, enabling full-spectrum RGBWW colour control across courses, bars and lounges.
Derek Wilson, chief strategy officer, SAVI iQ, said: “What makes SAVI QoraLux so powerful for designers is that it removes the old electrical constraints without sacrificing nuance. You get micro-zone control, smooth dimming, and rich RGBWW rendering, all on low-voltage cabling.”
Byron Baird, general manager, SAVI Commercial, added: “QoraLux changes the equation. You get precise zoning and full-spectrum colour at scale, while eliminating the heavy electrical infrastructure that can slow projects and increase costs. For Puttshack Minneapolis, we achieved the designer’s intent with a system that installs faster, uses less power, and is simpler to operate.”
Dominic Crespo, VP of design & construction at Puttshack, said: “QoraLux let us maintain the design intent while removing layers of field complexity. We didn’t need panel rooms or miles of conduit, which simplified hand-offs between trades and streamlined the build.”
Cory Lovern, technology project manager at Puttshack, added: “With SAVI, everything lives in one place. Adjusting lighting, music or video is faster, more intuitive, and keeps the experience consistent across the venue. It’s a single, integrated system that’s easier for new staff to learn and operate.”
