Absen LED displays, a Shure Axient wireless microphone system and Catchbox wireless microphones formed the technical backbone of the Global Leadership Summit, a three-day conference held at luxury hotel Raffles London at the OWO – formerly the Old War Office.
Integrator First Network specified a 22m-wide by 3.5m-high Absen 1.9mm pixel pitch LED wall as the backdrop to the event’s main ballroom sessions, alongside a custom central LED feature and purpose-built stage design to support presenter entrances and scene changes.
The Grade II-listed building presented particular challenges for installation planning and space management. To maintain unobstructed use of the main ballroom, First Network constructed a dedicated control room and speaker green room within the venue’s underground car park.
The Shure Axient system accommodated 56 wireless microphone inputs alongside multiple AV playback sources and 7.1 surround sound. The LED displays also supported interactive audience participation elements, with roulette-style graphics used to coordinate live delegate engagement – a nod to the building’s association with Ian Fleming and the James Bond franchise, for which the Old War Office served as inspiration.
