Absen’s LED technology has transformed the large-scale digital façade of the Cocor Shopping Centre in Bucharest, Romania, replacing an outdated system with a modern, high-brightness display designed for continuous, high-impact operation in a demanding urban environment. The installation comprises multiple screens, including one measuring 11.52 m × 23.04 m, a medium display at 11.52 m × 6.72 m, and several smaller panels sized 3.2 m × 4.8 m.
The IP65-rated LED panels feature 7,500-nit brightness, a 15,000 Hz refresh rate, and aluminium housing with front and rear access for easier maintenance.
To support content distribution, the installation integrates a hybrid network of fibre and CAT6A cabling, industrial-grade racks, active video converters and professional-grade controllers. Absen says its A0621 series panels were selected for their durability, visibility in all lighting conditions, and ease of integration into the new structure. The display is supported by a five-year warranty and technical assistance from Absen.

The Cocor Shopping Centre’s upgraded facade now operates as a scalable media platform capable of supporting advanced digital campaigns. The installation positions the Cocor Media Channel as a prime DOOH location in the heart of Romania’s capital.
