Disguise, a developer of real-time media servers and virtual production technologies for live events, broadcast, film and immersive installations, has opened an 8,000sqft office and Experience Center in Atlanta, Georgia, US, creating a dedicated space for hands-on demonstrations, technical training and workflow development centred on its production platforms.
Located in the Westside Paper building in West Midtown, the site includes workspace for the company’s creative and technical solutions teams, a hardware support centre for the Americas, and a demonstration environment built around virtual production and immersive display systems.
At the core of the Experience Center is a virtual production LED stage designed to support demos, prototyping and research and development. The stage is powered by Disguise Studio Pro, the manufacturer’s virtual production platform, alongside its GX 3+ media server, which is designed to deliver high-performance playback for live and immersive applications.
The LED volume combines Planar CarbonLight CLI Series and Leyard ALF Series panels, forming a canvas configured for real-time content workflows and virtual production environments. The company says the space will also host regular software, hardware and projection mapping demonstrations led by its technical specialists.
In addition to showcasing technology, the centre is intended to support pre-production testing, creative sequencing, system integration and projection workflows before projects go live. Training sessions and community events are also planned, aimed at developing practical skills across production teams and technologists in the region.
Sarah Lewthwaite, SVP of customer excellence at Disguise, said: “From festivals like Coachella and Glastonbury to in-stadium fan engagements, and Broadway shows like Maybe Happy Ending to Hollywood film productions, over the past 25 years, Disguise has transformed how audience experiences are being created. This expansion gives us the ability to be closer to our clients in the Southeast and offer a more dedicated, in-person experience for exploring creative ideas, testing technology and collaborating on ambitious projects together.”
Lewthwaite, SVP of customer excellence at Disguise, added: “Our expanded focus on Atlanta and the Experience Center underscores who we are today: a partner dedicated to delivering end-to-end solutions for our community. This investment highlights our commitment to supporting customers across the full lifecycle, from concept and creative development through to technical design, delivery and ongoing enablement.”
