Tripleplay’s server-based digital signage and IPTV solution has been selected by Robert Gordon University (RGU) Aberdeen, Scotland.
Implemented by Tripleplay authorised reseller Scotia UK, the centrally managed solution will service multiple campuses via the university’s LAN and WAN, and will incorporate clustered fail over servers to protect against down time and ensure service.
While the solution will be centrally managed and monitored there will also be an element of control distributed to university departments where the screens will be located, maximising the potential for relevant and up-to-date content.
Tim Hoddy, Tripleplay’s sales manager, commented: “RGU has really grasped the technology, understanding the IT, AV and departmental user needs of the system. Owing to this we have seen a digital signage and IPTV solution deployed that has great scope to provide an excellent service now but with plenty of flexibility and scope to build on it and develop it in the future.”
Tripleplay’s TripleSign digital signage and TripleTV IPTV solution has been deployed across over 50 screens at the university.
