BrightSign has launched BrightSign Control Plus, a premium tier of its device management solution for digital signage players, running on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Aimed at digital signage networks across retail, restaurant, corporate, healthcare and transportation environments, the platform gives customers a consolidated view into fleet status, with health dashboards, automated alerts, system navigation and AI-assisted diagnostics.

By building on AWS’s cloud infrastructure, BrightSign said it can manage costs while scaling to support the more than 300,000 players it has deployed worldwide, with room to grow further. Control Plus is designed to manage anywhere from a handful of players to thousands of digital signage networks, supporting simultaneous self-healing, software updates, bulk actions and job scheduling for IT managers, systems integrators, multisite operators and CMS partners.
Control Plus uses a range of AWS services to underpin its functionality, including Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Amazon EC2, Amazon RDS and Aurora, Amazon S3, Amazon CloudFront, Amazon GuardDuty, load balancing and AWS Control Tower. BrightSign said building on AWS’s platform allows for continuous security monitoring and consistent governance across its cloud environment, alongside content storage and delivery to support dynamic digital signage experiences at scale.
Steve Durkee, CEO of BrightSign, said: “Our top priority is to provide our customers with the most intelligent digital signage solutions that marry best-in-class hardware with the right software, services and support. Launching BrightSign Control Plus on AWS is a continuation of that mission. Running Control Plus on AWS’s trusted platform enables us to provide customers with reliable, secure, flexible, and sustainable digital signage, regardless of the scale or size of the deployment. This means complete visibility and unmatched control of digital signage networks from anywhere.”
