Peavey Commercial Audio will be unveiling a new commercial speaker series and new DSP loudspeaker management systems at Prolight + Sound next week.
The SSE speaker series is aimed at speech reinforcement applications, available in both black and white finishes. Throw distances range from 10 – 18m and the series includes a choice of five front position cabinets and a subwoofer, with a monitor available for lecture theatre and amphitheatre applications.
James Kennedy, UK operations manager for Peavey Commercial Audio, commented: “Speech reinforcement sound is an entirely different science to standard performance audio and our new and improved SSE Series is specifically designed for this purpose, with a range that is simple to tailor to requirements.
“The SSE Series is suitable for a wide range of markets, and its scalability make it the perfect solution for theatres, museums, halls of residence, convention centres, houses of worship and public address systems.”
The second product launch is the VSXe range of professional processors designed to meet the need for a high sample rate, suited to both fixed installs and mobile applications.
The range includes the VSX26e and VSX48e and users can choose between 2 in/6 out or 4 in/8 out configurations with both models featuring a 96kHz sample rate and a floating point DSP core for quiet accurate filter response.
VSXe processors include up to nine bands on both input and output and users gain acoustic control with features such as gain, HP and LP filters and crossover.
