Sonance has begun shipping its Professional Series High Output in-ceiling loudspeakers in North America, with global markets to follow from mid-August. The range comprises the PS-C85T for direct-mount installations and the PS-C85RTBF baffle with PS-C85BB back box for retrofit applications, both offering high SPL output and adjustable dispersion for large-scale commercial projects.
The in-ceiling models, which won an Installation Best of Show award at ISE 2026, complete the Professional Series High Output family, joining existing pendant and surface-mount form factors. All variants share identical voicing and Sonance’s field-adjustable Variable Dispersion Technology, aimed at giving consistency and flexibility when specifying across different commercial venue types.
The High Output family introduces a compression driver design intended to bridge the gap between background audio and foreground performance, providing high SPL and adjustable dispersion across all form factors for large-scale commercial installations.
Sonance said the speakers are engineered to handle open microphone use while maintaining full-range acoustic reproduction, positioning the range beyond typical background music applications.
