Peavey and Crest Audio systems drive ‘Jakarta Death Fest’

Crest Audio's Versarray Pro-based system and Peavey's amplifiers deployed across Indonesian extreme metal festival

Peavey and Crest Audio systems provided the live sound infrastructure for Jakarta Death Fest, described as Indonesia’s largest extreme metal gathering, held at the Bulungan venue in South Jakarta.

Rental specialist Delight Sound handled front-of-house operations and system deployment, building the main system around Crest Audio’s Versarray Pro platform. The rig comprised Versarray Pro 112, Versarray Pro 215 and Versarray Pro 218 elements, with CPL 15+ and CPL 12+ loudspeakers providing additional coverage and reinforcement across the audience area. System control and optimisation were handled via the Crest Audio Tactus platform.

On stage, Peavey amplifiers – including the Invective and 6505 heads – provided stage power for performing artists, with AQ 15 monitors handling stage monitoring. International and domestic acts including Stillbirth, Grausig, Death Vomit and Deadsquad performed across the event.

Akshay Vaidya, director APAC at Peavey Electronics, said: “Jakarta Death Fest exceeded expectations on every level – from the scale of attendance to the energy of the performances and the consistency of the audio experience throughout the day. The system delivered exactly what an event of this intensity demands: uncompromising power, clarity under pressure, and absolute reliability.”

Event organiser Stevie Item added: “Peavey Electronics has been a great part of this festival. For us Death Metal fans, this means a lot.”
