InfoComm 2014: UC company Pexip educates and connects with visitors

Pexip, which describes itself as “a global disrupter in scalable, distributed videoconferencing technology”, is involved in a host of sponsored seminars, luncheons, and networking events designed to educate and connect with attendees at this year’s InfoComm show.

Partnering with the Interactive Multimedia and Collaborative Communications Alliance (IMCCA), Pexip is a silver sponsor of InfoComm’s Unified Communications and Collaboration (UC&C) Solutions Summit. Kicking off on Wednesday 18 June at 12:15, an industry luncheon will address the state of the UC&C market featuring guest speaker Adam Marlin, Pexip executive vice president.

On Thursday 19 June, attendees are invited to join Pexip at one of two breakfast networking opportunities. The first, titled ‘Why Pexip?’, features Pexip CTO Håkon Dahle. In his presentation, Dahle discusses the current state and future of visual enterprise communications, indentifies the fundamental challenges faced by the enterprise, and explores how Pexip addresses them. The event will be held at the Renaissance Hotel starting at 8:00.

A second IMCCA-hosted session, ‘Breakfast at the UC&C Lab’, kicks off at 8:30. in room N225 at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) with Danny Dunn, systems architect for Pexip. In this live, hands-on demonstration, attendees will get a first look at Pexip’s latest Infinity software — the market’s most scalable meeting platform offering unlimited users personal meeting rooms for simple videoconferencing on any device.

Later on, two additional educational opportunities will explore the future opportunities of UC&C. In a morning session, Pexip executives will be part of a Solutions Summit panel discussion on effective ways to shape and implement UC strategies. The seminar, entitled ‘Unified Communications & Collaboration Roadmap’, will be held in room N253 of the LVCC at 10:30. This session will explore the successes and pitfalls of UC implementation and how to achieve success.

On Thursday afternoon an IMCCA-hosted roundtable on the importance of WebRTC will take place. Industry expert Jordan Owens, vice president of architecture for Pexip, will lead the session entitled ‘WebRTC – Important Trend or Hype Engine?’ The discussion begins at 15:00 and will be held in room N253 of the LVCC. Panellists will address the latest from the W3C working group and supporting manufacturers to present a realistic picture of the current state of WebRTC, how important WebRTC is, and what you can expect and when.

Finally, Pexip invites all attendees to stop by booth N1820 for the PexBeer cocktail hour. Starting at 16:00, Pexip will offer drinks, snacks and the chance to network with industry peers.
