eyevis UK videowall technology has helped protect customers and prevent crime during five years of continuous, trouble-free operation at a retailer’s flagship Oxford Street store.
The installation is in the security control room at the well-known national retailer, which does not wish to be named. It was part of a project with Orion Security Solutions, which designs, installs and maintains integrated security systems.
eyevis UK installed a 5 x 2 videowall of 42in narrow-bezel LCD displays, a Netpix 4800 videowall controller and eycon software.
The Netpix 4800 is a network-based graphic controller for the management of videowall systems, single displays or projectors. The controller creates a joined desktop for network applications, video and graphic sources.
Working with all connected sources, eyecon videowall control software enables distribution of information and collaboration between different control rooms or presentation areas. According to the company, the system’s simple operating concept makes for short response times, making for effective and efficient operation of large display systems.
Steve Murphy, eyevis UK managing director, said: “We are delighted that our installation at the store on Oxford Street has been running 24/7 and trouble-free for five years. eyevis technology is chosen because of its reliability and because it is easy to both use and maintain. This is key for such an important control centre, which is reliant on 24/7 operation.”
eyevis UK provides video display and AV solutions to a range of clients and has supplied CCTV control rooms for power stations, local authorities, banks, road traffic monitoring, emergency services, blue-chip retailers and government buildings.
