ZetaDisplay has secured a contract with airport media operator Media Port to develop a new digital advertising platform at Copenhagen Airport, with deployment scheduled to begin in January 2027.
The project will see ZetaDisplay deliver new digital signage infrastructure, its proprietary Engage Suite software and managed services to support a refreshed digital out-of-home (DOOH) network across the airport. The initial rollout includes a network of digital displays, replacing the majority of the existing inventory, alongside seven large-format “hero” displays positioned at key passenger locations.
Copenhagen Airport handled 32.4mn passengers last year, with around two-thirds travelling internationally and one in four using the airport as a transfer hub. The agreement comes as the airport nears completion of a major terminal expansion project.
At the core of the deployment is ZetaDisplay’s Engage Suite platform, which is designed to manage content delivery across the airport’s display network. According to the company, the software supports content management, programmatic digital out-of-home (pDOOH) campaigns, real-time campaign optimisation, audience analytics and performance reporting.
The platform is also designed to combine real-time passenger information with advertising placement, enabling dynamic audience targeting and campaign management throughout the passenger journey.
Ola Sæverås, chief business officer at ZetaDisplay, said: “This is a strategically important project that marks a new chapter for Copenhagen Airport’s media platform. Together, we are creating one of Northern Europe’s most attractive premium media destinations, combining audience intelligence, premium inventory and programmatic capabilities to create greater value for advertisers, agencies and airport partners.
“By connecting real-time passenger insights with dynamic content delivery, Media Port will help brands engage travellers with more relevant campaigns while creating new commercial opportunities for the airport. We are proud to support Media Port’s ambitious growth plans and look forward to delivering a platform that sets a new benchmark for commerce media and transport advertising across Europe.”
Media Port, which operates the media concessions at Istanbul (IST), Riga (RIX) and Çukurova (COV) airports, was recently awarded the exclusive media contract for Copenhagen Airport. The companies say the new platform is intended to create additional advertising opportunities while supporting digital communications for passengers across the airport.
