Christie introduces 4K 120Hz omnidirectional projector

Christie has introduced the Christie Mirage 304K projector, featuring 120Hz and omnidirectional capabilities.

Christie has introduced the Christie Mirage 304K projector, featuring 120Hz and omnidirectional capabilities. Delivering 30,000 lumens and 3-chip DLP technology, the projectoris designed for 3D applications and advanced visualisation for industries including automotive, location-based entertainment, government, military, oil and gas, biotechnology, and more. The model was launched at IVR, Japan’s largest 3D and high definition image technology exhibition.

Featuring the Christie TruLife Electronics platform, Christie Mirage 304K supports a video-processing pipeline of up to 1.2 gigapixels. The projector provides a variety of input options including DisplayPort, HDMI and HD-SDI, as well as built-in Christie Twist for curved screens and blended array visualisation applications.

The company highlights a number of attributes that make it suitable in product development, engineering and visualisation applications: the image quality, colour and uniformity it offers, providing visual accuracy; 24/7 reliability in fully immersive virtual experiences; and its stereoscopic capability, for engineering work collaboration and visualisation of highly complex data.

“An omnidirectional projector for 3D and advanced visualisation at full 4K 120Hz is a breakthrough in projection technology,” said Jennifer Smith, executive vice president, global market solutions, Christie. “Using lamps from Ushio, the Christie Mirage features the patented Christie 6-mercury lamp illumination system. With the new Christie Mirage 304K operating at true 120Hz, Christie continues to light the path for visual display solutions.”

“Christie designs and implements the most advanced 3D projection visualisation display solutions,” added Mamoru Hanzawa, director of Christie Digital Systems, Japan. “With the launch of the Christie Mirage 304K, Christie continues to give its customers what they need to create and share the world’s best visual experiences.”
