Extron has announced the immediate availability of the NetPA Ultra FX Series, a range of eight- and four-channel configurable output audio power amplifiers with Dante connectivity and integrated audio DSP.
The amplifiers are based on the company’s XPA Ultra FX Series, with Dante connectivity added to distribute audio from a centralised location to remote amplifiers across a facility, building or campus using standard network hardware. The integrated DSP allows each NetPA Ultra FX amplifier to operate as a standalone endpoint, handling dynamics processing and filters.
The amplifiers are software-configurable to support 8-ohm, 4-ohm, 70-volt and 100-volt loads simultaneously, allowing them to drive multiple speaker types within the same system. Total power across two adjacent channels can be shared, delivering up to 800 watts per single channel depending on model and system requirements.
The series also includes Extron’s InstaWake technology, which returns the amplifier to full power from standby in under 50 milliseconds.
Casey Hall, chief marketing officer at Extron, said: “As soon as the XPA Ultra FX amplifiers were introduced, we started getting requests for Dante versions. These amplifiers provide our customers with the high-powered, networked audio solutions they need now.”
