Extron launches compact matrix switcher

DTP3 CrossPoint 42 is a 4x2 model with USB-C and HDMI inputs, HDMI outputs and a DTP3 output for extending signals up to 100m over CAT 6A, targeting meeting rooms and collaboration spaces

Extron has begun shipping the DTP3 CrossPoint 42, a compact 4×2 4K/60 matrix switcher designed for meeting rooms, collaboration spaces and training environments.

The unit accepts USB-C and HDMI inputs and provides HDMI outputs alongside a DTP3 output, designed to extend video, audio and control signals up to 100m over shielded CAT 6A cable. USB-C charging delivers up to 60W, and audio de-embedding is included to reduce additional equipment requirements.

The DTP3 CrossPoint 42 features Extron’s Vector 4K scaling technology, which the company says delivers seamless switching transition effects and logo keying alongside standard scaling functions.

Casey Hall, chief marketing officer at Extron, said: “Its small size enables convenient installation in a variety of locations, and its advanced capabilities enable uncompromised operation in a broad range of presentation environments.”
