BenQ poaches Chris Goff from rival Epson as it ramps up its customer sales and support teams

Goff is one of four new additions to help ramp up sales and boost support for end users and customers in the UK

BenQ UK has announced the appointment of a number of new hires to support its growing sales operations, from the end user to sales support.

Chris Goff has been appointed product manager and his role will involve managing BenQ’s home, education, retail and corporate display solutions. Chris has more than 20 years experience in the AV industry, joining from from Epson, where he managed the Visual Instruments division for four years. 

In addition, BenQ has also appointed Helen Wells as a product manager, responsible for BenQ’s range of LCD monitors and Zowie E-Sports monitors. 

Helen joins from distributor TechData (formerly Maverick), where she was held the same title. She was responsible for audio solutions and Hotlamps for two years with Maverick, before being acquired by TechData, where she spent a further 10 years managing Hotlamps for Europe and LCD monitors and components for the UK.

Edward Hopgood joins BenQ from Westcon where he managed relationships with key customers and partners to establish, develop and grow sales. Prior to this, Edward was responsible for establishing and growing relationships with global strategic partners in APAC for Polycom. Edward has joined the BenQ team as Enterprise Sales Manager, to manage the Google Jamboard and BenQ Interactive Flat Panel ranges for Enterprise customers

Phil Kellett joins BenQ with over 20 years’ experience in the AV industry, including roles at Sharp Electronics, Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics. Phil’s role as BenQ’s enterprise sales manager involves managing the Google Jamboard and BenQ Interactive Flat Panel ranges for Enterprise customers.

Zara Congerton has joined the BenQ team from Avnet (now Tech Data) as Internal Sales Executive (B2B), where she will be the main point of contact for BenQ’s extensive network of dealers and resellers.
