Epson has achieved TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort 5-Star Certification for a range of its education projectors, following independent testing against comprehensive visual comfort criteria. TÜV Rheinland is one of the world’s leading independent testing, inspection and certification organisations.
Epson is currently the only projector manufacturer with such a certification. Unlike individual low blue light or flicker-free certifications, the assessment looks across a broader range of factors including readability, image uniformity, colour accuracy, smooth motion and performance under changing ambient-light conditions.
The certification is particularly relevant to classroom environments, where students may be viewing digital content for extended periods and from different positions within the room. The assessment considers the visibility and clarity of text and images across the screen, as well as brightness, contrast and colour performance in changing lighting conditions.

Independent certification gives schools additional reassurance that the displays they choose have been assessed against rigorous criteria covering not just blue light and flicker, but the overall viewing experience.”
Selected Epson projectors have achieved the highest five-star level under the certification programme. These include the EB-L890E, EB-L890U, EB-L895U, EB-L795SE, EB-L790SU, EB-L790U, EB-L690U, EB-L690SU, EB-L695SU, EB-L690SE, EB-L695SE, EB-L260F, EB-L210W, EB-L265F, EB-L210SF, EB-L210SW and EB-L270F.
