Absen appoints European rental and staging manager

LED display manufacturer names Alistair Mizon to drive European strategy, with new COB product at ISE

Absen has appointed Alistair Mizon as product and technology manager for rental and staging and XR in Europe, as part of its expansion in the live events sector.

Mizon will focus on product strategy and technical development for the LED display manufacturer’s rental and staging portfolio. His initial priorities include improving knowledge sharing across Absen’s European network and supporting partners with technical expertise.

The appointment comes as Absen prepares to launch its SA1.5 COB product at ISE 2026. The manufacturer says it has supplied LED solutions to productions including the Oasis Live ’25 world tour, 1Live Krone Awards, and the Australia Pavilion at Expo 2025 Japan.

Mizon brings experience in product management and technical consultancy from his time at adi.tv and Mizon Events. He is tasked with helping shape solutions based on practical challenges in rental, staging and XR applications, according to the company.

Alistair Mizon, product and technology manager for rental and staging and XR at Absen, said: “This new position gives me the opportunity to focus deeply on direct view LED, an area that has always fascinated me. I’m looking forward to working with the Absen team and our partners to help shape solutions that truly support the needs of the rental, staging and XR markets across the region.”

Debbie Zheng, director of AbsenLive, added: “His technical expertise and customer-first approach will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen our live events offering and deliver exceptional value to our partners across Europe.”
