Sending 4K signals over fibre and copper

The new HDMI 2.0 4K60 Extender Fiber / LWL 200m, a HDMI extender capable of transferring UHD 4K signals with full colour dynamics over fibre optic up to 200m, is on show at the Lindy stand.

The extender supports all signal types defined by HDMI (HDCP 2.2, CEC, Hot Plug Detection or EDID) and HDMI 2.0b, including high dynamic range (HDR). This corresponds to an HDMI bandwidth of 18Gbps. It is aimed for use in professional AV installations, in event technology or at permanently installed AV and digital signage systems.

Also on show is the new C6 HDMI 4K 2.0 & USB 2.0 KVM Extender, a HDBaseT 2.0 extender solution for ultra-high-resolution video signals over copper cables. Using conventional Cat6 network cables, the extender reaches a range of 100m.

Together with the video signal, it is also possible to connect and transfer 100Mbit LAN, USB 2.0, RS232, digital audio and IR.

In addition to native 4K resolutions, further signals can be transferred via HDBaseT. Specifically, 4K with 24-bit colour depth and 4:2:0 subsampling at 60Hz are sent over the connection cable. 4K with 4:4:4 subsampling is possible up to 30Hz.
