Eight-way distribution for IP signals

The AVN-AH8 front panel includes PoE, DC, network link status and clock LEDs

Distributing two sets of stereo audio sources to up to eight different sets of headphones, the AVN-AH8 multi-channel Dante headphone amplifier from British manufacturer Sonifex is making its ISE debut.

Able to provide common headphone feeds for signals coming directly from an AoIP network, each of the headphone outputs can select between two stereo Dante sources routed via Dante controller. The unit also supports AES67 operation.

Each output on the 1U rack-mounted front panel has unbalanced quarter-inch jack sockets and rotary potentiometers which adjust the headphone volumes from mute to 0dB of gain. The level of each Dante stream can be adjusted by 12dB in total. The AVN-AH8 also has eight parallel quarter-inch jacks on the rear panel for ease of wiring if the unit is installed in an enclosed rack.

The unit is powered via PoE or a 12VDC input via a locking 2.5mm DC input, with 2A minimum rating.
