ISE 2015 visitors who think they know Harman’s Martin Professional MAC Quantum Profile may like to think again. The product, which was launched last year, has been shown to many customers, rental houses and lighting designers – and while the company says feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, the exposure has helped to identify elements that needed attention in the final construction process.
Changes in hardware design and software have been implemented and Martin says it has a state-of-the art fixture ready to go to market with a bang.
According to Martin, the extremely bright LED Profile fixture incorporates the best possible quality of white light combined with a super-quick, yet smoothly operating CMY colour mixing system and crisp gobo projection on surfaces as well as mid-air. Combined with the new Animotion FX system that allows what the company claims are never-before-seen beam animations, Martin believes that it offers the first real 700/800W discharge replacement based on the latest LED technology.
“A successful Martin product is a result of this tight cooperation between departments combined with valuable input from the field and from our customers, and the MAC Quantum Profile serves as a great example,” said Markus Klüsener, product manager for stage lighting.
“Now LED is getting somewhere,” said Ian Anderson, lighting designer, Mitech Design. “Output, speed and colour rendition are second to none.”
