DSS 2026 to focus on AI, cybersecurity and market consolidation

The Digital Signage Summit will return to Munich for its 20th anniversary on May 20-21, with sessions addressing key forces reshaping the global market

The Digital Signage Summit (DSS) 2026 has revealed its speaker line-up and agenda, with AI adoption, cybersecurity and industry consolidation among the central themes at this year’s event, in Munich, Germany.

Presented by invidis consulting in collaboration with Integrated Systems Events (ISE), the two-day conference will take place at the Hilton Munich Airport, on May 20-21. Framed around the theme of NextGen Signage, the programme features keynotes, panel discussions and expert-led sessions examining the structural and technological shifts reshaping the digital signage and DooH sectors.

Marking its 20th anniversary, the event opens with an invidis keynote from Florian Rotberg, managing director of invidis, and Stefan Schieker, senior partner of invidis, setting out where the industry currently stands. A second keynote, 20 Years of Digital Signage, will reflect on two decades of defining moments and future direction.

The AI Spotlight track invites speakers to address developments in generative, analytic and agentic AI, with contributors including Rick Mills, CEO of Creative Realities, and Mathieu Yerle, CEO of Intuiface, among others. A dedicated cybersecurity session – Cybersecurity in Digital Signage: Unpatched, Unsecured, Unprotected — will address OS governance, resilience and risk, and how platform choices influence security and total cost of ownership.

Further sessions cover retail media, green signage and market developments across DACH, the Americas, India and Europe. A 10-session Tech Dialogue track focuses on critical technology conversations including AI tech stack architecture and standardisation.

Florian Rotberg, founder and owner of invidis consulting, said: “In our 20th year, The DSS returns to Munich with a programme that reflects where the market is heading into a new phase. The speaker line-up and agenda address the topics industry leaders are dealing with right now.”

Mike Blackman, managing director of Integrated Systems Events, added: “The DSS has always been a forum where decision-makers come together with leading speakers to navigate a rapidly changing landscape. We’re proud to partner with invidis again and look forward to welcoming the industry to Munich in May.”
