Video streaming and distribution specialist VITEC has announced it will retire the Datapath corporate brand, bringing the video wall processing, capture hardware and AVoIP portfolio under the unified VITEC identity in 2027.

The brand consolidation follows the integration of both operations after VITEC’s acquisition of the UK-based display management company. While the Datapath corporate entity will be retired, all existing product ranges, hardware engineering teams, regional offices and global technical support networks will continue operating within the combined structure.

The single brand brings Datapath’s multi-screen video processing, capture cards, KVM switching and control room management platforms into VITEC’s IPTV distribution, digital signage, hardware encoding and decoding, and RF video delivery ecosystem.

Operationally, the unified portfolio targets mission-critical command-and-control centres, broadcast facilities, military installations, higher education and corporate workplace infrastructure, combining low-latency video distribution with wall management interfaces.

The integration will see a single VITEC digital platform launched later this year, with marketing materials, chassis hardware branding and software interfaces transitioning to the single corporate livery throughout 2027.

Nicolas Quesne, deputy CEO at VITEC, said: “Both businesses have strong engineering foundations and highly complementary expertise. Bringing these strengths together creates a broader, more connected portfolio of solutions and services, supported by VITEC’s global presence and customer support capabilities.”
