In today’s digital world, attractions must go beyond static displays to captivate visitors and draw attention. Museums, planetariums, and immersive venues are turning to cutting-edge displays and interactive technologies to create unforgettable experiences. Thanks to advancements in visual technology, these experiences are more attainable than ever –whether it’s a small-scale interactive exhibit or an outdoor projection mapping spectacle.

At ISE 2025, AV technology provider Christie showcased its solutions in a range of attraction applications. A museum use case featured an interactive three-wall projection surface, creating an eye-catching panoramic centrepiece.

Stunning immersive content, created by Faber Creative Services, was projected by Christie Jazz Series 1DLP laser projectors and controlled by Widget Designer. With the push of a button, gallery walls appeared complete with dynamic paintings of animals that come alive.
Another show highlight was a fully interactive, floor-to-ceiling projection-mapped room, created by Christie partner Augmenta. This setup, powered by DWU960ST-iS laser projectors and a Christie Pandoras Box media server, immersed guests in vibrant visuals, allowing them to manipulate the content on the walls and floor to stunning effect.
While outside the room, monitors displayed tracking data, revealing how the technology dynamically responded to movements. This demonstration proved that even in a compact space, immersive experiences can make a big impact.
Two Christie Griffyn 4K50-RGB pure laser projectors paired with Christie Mystique automated alignment and recalibration technology demonstrated why this is an ideal solution for large-scale projection mapping experiences where brightness and accurate colour reproduction are crucial.

The solution illuminated an 800,000-facet temple-inspired façade with 100,000 lumens of brightness and deep, saturated colours in this eye-catching display.
A growing portfolio of immersive experiences highlights the storytelling power of visual technology. At Illuminarium at Wynn Palace Cotai, Macau, 29 Griffyn 4K50-RGB pure laser projectors create multi-sensory, projection-mapped environments.
Guests step into captivating settings like the wild savanna or the surface of the moon, experiencing extraordinary stories in an entirely new way.

While largescale, multi-projector setups might seem out of reach for some venues, immersive installations don’t have to be complex or budget-busting projects. Attractions can start small – by transforming a single exhibit or environment – and scale up as needed.
A great example is the MOSTI Museum in Saudi Arabia, where 13 Christie GS Series 1DLP laser projectors were seamlessly integrated by Stage Audio Works across a variety of exhibits. From a three-projector blended display to smaller projection mapping installations, the museum brings objects and artefacts to life with dynamic storytelling. Interactive elements, such as Christie AirScan touch-free technology, further enhance visitor engagement by allowing guests to trigger audio narratives with hand gestures.
With innovative content management, processing, and display technologies available for attractions of all sizes, the days of uninspiring static exhibits in dusty museums are behind us. Whether designing a single interactive display or a large-scale immersive experience, the possibilities are endless. Now is the time to embrace the future of visitor experiences.
