Latest edition of Installation now available

June issue leads on control – how AV platforms are reshaping monitoring, management and analytics –and also takes a deep dive into audio in transport hubs. Content director Rob Lane reveals what else is filling the pages of this jam-packed edition

The latest edition of Installation (available to read below) highlights a significant shift in how AV systems are being designed, managed and experienced. Our lead feature explores how AV control platforms are evolving beyond traditional device and room management into software-driven environments for monitoring, analytics and large-scale operational oversight. Increasingly, AV complexity is being absorbed behind the scenes, freeing users to focus on workflows and outcomes. That same theme is reflected in a Datapath Aetria promotion exploring operator-first thinking in increasingly connected and data-rich control centres.

Elsewhere, our second AVL special report explores how video tech is reshaping lighting behaviour in live production, while our resimercial feature examines how this growing sector is driving a new design language for AV integration across hospitality, retail and co-working spaces. We also look at the continuing evolution of transport audio, where networking, beam steering and assistive listening technologies are helping improve intelligibility and accessibility across increasingly complex public spaces.

We’ve also got interviews with ‘California kid’ Brad Hintze, Crestron’s EVP of global customer success & marketing, and Andrea Barbuti, PPDS global product management lead, EMEA.

Finally, Futuresources Helen Matthews delves into the tech behind convergence, a prelude to our inaugural AV & Broadcast summit, in June – click here for further details.
