BenQ has announced that it is using Computex 2026, taking place in Taipei, Taiwan, from 2-5 June, to demonstrate a range of AI-enabled display technologies spanning workplace collaboration, education and immersive entertainment – with particular emphasis on projection-based sports simulation applications.
Among the technologies on display is an AI-powered football simulation experience built around the BenQ LH860ST projector. The system uses sensing technology to track shot trajectories and provide real-time performance analysis and coaching feedback without requiring wearable devices or additional sensors.
According to BenQ, the platform combines low-latency image processing with factory-calibrated colour consistency across multi-projector installations, making it suitable for medium- and large-scale immersive venues.
The company says the football simulation platform is intended not only for sports training applications but also for use within immersive entertainment environments. BenQ is also exploring opportunities to deploy the technology in restaurants and sports-viewing venues, highlighting the growing convergence of projection, interactivity and location-based entertainment.
Elsewhere at the show, BenQ is demonstrating AI-enhanced meeting and education technologies, including automated meeting summaries, AI-assisted classroom tools and cloud-based management platforms designed to streamline collaboration and device administration. The company’s smart meeting solutions combine interactive displays, conferencing technologies and cloud-based account management tools, while its education offering integrates projectors, interactive displays and conferencing cameras within a connected classroom ecosystem.
The announcement reflects the growing role of AI within display technology, with manufacturers increasingly combining hardware, software and cloud-based services to deliver workflow automation, operational efficiencies and more personalised user experiences across a range of applications.
