Vivitek unveiled three new large-venue projectors at ISE 2014: the XGA-resolution DX6831, the WXGA DW6851 and the WUXGA DU6871. All three come with a host of the latest display and connectivity technology on-board including dual lamp switching and 3D capability.
They are designed for large spaces where a versatile, high brightness projector is required, with 8,000 ANSI lumens for the XGA and 7,000 and 7,300 ANSI lumens respectively for the WXGA and WUXGA models. All models have a high contrast ratio of 3,000:1 for deep blacks and rich colours. Seven lens options are available.

Connectivity options include HDMI v.1.4, DisplayPort and DVI-D, plus an HDBaseT protocol receiver capable of transmitting HDMI quality video and audio together with Ethernet over up to 100m using Cat-5e/6 cables.
“Reliability is important for any projector, especially one that could be integral to a performance in front of hundreds of people,” commented James Hsu, director EMEA operations at Vivitek. “The projectors support heavy duty 24/7 operations, with dual-lamp switching technology for zero downtime. In addition, projector status can be monitored at all times through Cat5/6 cable via an RJ-45 interface.”
